Ο Δρ. Νικόλαος Κοντοδημόπουλος είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής Διοίκησης Υπηρεσιών στο Τμήμα Οικονομίας και Βιώσιμης Ανάπτυξης του Χαροκοπείου Πανεπιστημίου στην Αθήνα. Είναι πτυχιούχος Μηχανικός Βιοϊατρικής και κατέχει μεταπτυχιακό δίπλωμα στα Ιατρικά Ηλεκτρονικά και τη Φυσική από το Queen Mary College, University of London. Επιπλέον, διαθέτει MBA και διδακτορικό τίτλο στη Διοίκηση και Οικονομία της Υγείας από τη Σχολή Κοινωνικών Επιστημών του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου.

Διαθέτει 25ετή επαγγελματική εμπειρία στην Κεντρική Υπηρεσία του Εθνικού Κέντρου Άμεσης Βοήθειας (ΕΚΑΒ), καθώς και σε άλλους φορείς του Υπουργείου Υγείας. Διετέλεσε για τέσσερα έτη κοινός Διοικητής του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αττικής «ΚΑΤ» και του Εθνικού Κέντρου Αποκατάστασης.

Τα τελευταία 20 χρόνια διδάσκει μεταπτυχιακά μαθήματα στη Διοίκηση Υπηρεσιών Υγείας και στα Οικονομικά της Υγείας στο Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο, στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, καθώς και σε άλλα πανεπιστήμια στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό. Έχει επιβλέψει περισσότερες από 120 μεταπτυχιακές διπλωματικές εργασίες.

Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στη διοίκηση υπηρεσιών υγείας, την οικονομική αξιολόγηση προγραμμάτων υγείας, την αποδοτικότητα των φορέων υγείας, τη βιωσιμότητα των συστημάτων υγείας και τη χάραξη πολιτικής υγείας. Έχει δημοσιεύσει περισσότερα από 100 άρθρα σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά με κριτές, τα οποία έχουν συγκεντρώσει πάνω από 5.700 αναφορές, ενώ διαθέτει δείκτη h-index 37 (Google Scholar).
