Konstantina Koutroumpa (Koutrouba) is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Sustainable Development at Harokopio University of Athens, specialized in Pedagogical and Instructional Studies, and Vice Rector of Administrative Affairs, Student Welfare and Lifelong Learning. During 2017-2022 she has been Head of the Department while during 2016-2022 she has been Director of the Postgraduate Studies Program entitled “Education and Culture” of the same Department.

Also, she has been a member of the Scientific Coordinating Committee and Head of Teachers’ Training for the Second Chance Schools, a member of the Adult Education Teachers Training Committee of the Adult Education Center and a member of the Scientific-Consultative Committee for Life-long Learning (General Secretariat for Adult Education of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs). She has also been a member of the “Pedagogical Society of Greece”, “European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (Earli)”, and “International Study Association on Teachers and Teaching (ISATT)” and also, she is reviewer in of international scientific journals regarding educational studies.

She is the author of scientific books, research papers published in international journals, conferences’ proceedings and collective volumes. Her research interests focus on (i) effective teaching and learning, (ii) the implementation of innovative teaching strategies, (iii) classroom management, (iv) teacher profile and professionalism and (v) lifelong learning.
