Dr. Sofoklis Skoultsos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Sustainable Development at Harokopio University, specializing in Sustainable Tourism and Culture. He holds a PhD in the field of Management and Tourism with a specialization in Tourism Planning and Event Management, and he is a graduate of the Master’s Program in Tourism Planning, Management and Policy at the University of the Aegean.

He also teaches at the Hellenic Open University in the Undergraduate Tourism Management Program, offering courses related to Tourism and Culture, as well as Event Planning and Management. He has been a member of the Tourism Research Laboratory at the University of the Aegean for many years, has served as an external associate of the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE), and has participated in various studies and research projects (international and national) in the fields of tourism, cultural tourism, and tourism development.

He has presented publications at international conferences and journals on topics such as event management, cultural tourism, sustainability, tourism impacts, and more. His areas of expertise include cultural tourism, event management, sustainability, and tourism development.
