George Tsitsas is an Assistant Professor of Counselling Psychology at Harokopio University and Head of the University Counselling Centre, with academic and clinical expertise in counselling and systemic psychotherapy. He is a Counselling Psychologist and a certified Couple and Family Therapist, specialized in systemic and cognitive-behavioural models of intervention. He holds a PhD in Counselling Psychology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Counselling Psychology from City, University of London. He has collaborated with counselling centres in Greek and international universities and has participated in numerous programmes providing psychosocial support to students, families, and communities. He teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across Greek universities in areas such as Counselling Psychology, Systemic Theory, Psychotherapeutic Approaches, Mental Health, and Research Methodology. He is involved in research teams studying student mental health, couple and family dynamics, and psychological empowerment interventions within higher-education settings. He has authored and edited books and scientific chapters and has published research articles in Greek and international journals. He is a frequent presenter at international conferences, focusing on psychological resilience, systemic patterns of communication, stress management, and applications of Counselling Psychology in higher education. He is a member of the Hellenic Psychological Society (ELPSE) and the Hellenic Systemic Therapy Association (ELESYTH).
